The EU programme for employment and social innovation (EaSI) covers employment and social protection. It aims to support sustainable and high-quality employment, to guarantee social protection, to tackle social exclusion and to improve working conditions.
The budget for the programme is almost 919 million Euros for 2014-2020 programming period.

EaSI programme is split into three axis:
- PROGRESS axis: modernisation of employment and social policies
- employment, in particular youth unemployment;
- social protection, social inclusion and the reduction and prevention of poverty;
- working conditions;
- EURES axis: job mobility across the EU
- transparency of job vacancies, job applications and any related information for applicants and employers;
- development of services for the recruitment and placing of workers in employment;
- cross-border partnerships;
- Microfinance and Social Entrepreneurship axis: access to micro-finance and social entrepreneurship.
OBJECTIVES AND PRIORITIES
Main objectives for the programme are:
- Strengthening ownership of EU objectives and coordination of action at EU and national level in the areas of employment, social affairs and inclusion;
- Supporting the development of adequate social protection systems and labour market policies;
- Modernising EU legislation and ensuring its effective application;
- Promoting geographical mobility and boosting employment opportunities by developing an open labour market
- Increasing the availability and accessibility of microfinance for vulnerable groups and micro-enterprises, and increasing access to finance for social enterprises.
EaSI programme has cross-cutting priorities:
- Paying particular attention to vulnerable groups as young people;
- Promoting gender equality;
- Tackling discriminations;
- Promoting sustainable and high-quality employment;
- Guaranteeing adequate and decent social protection;
- Tackling long-term unemployment;
- Tackling poverty and social exclusion.
