European institutions update

You will find below a quick update on the European institutions:

• Jean-Claude JUNCKER is the new President of the European Commission for five years since 1 November 2014;

• Martin SCHULZ was re-elected as the President of the European Parliament for two years and a half;

• Donald TUSK is the new President of the European Council for two years and a half since 1 December 2014;

• Italy leads the Council of the European Union from 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2014. Latvia will succeed on 1 January 2015 until 30 June 2015.
